How long it really takes
The ride is twenty-five minutes on the water. The outing is not. Check-in, a safety briefing and getting into a life jacket come first, and the base is ten minutes out of town at Arthurs Point. Allow about an hour and a half door to door if you drive, and longer if you have booked an option that includes return transport from Queenstown, because the shuttle runs to its own schedule.
